Marin Horizon follows an academic year calendar, from late August to early June, with a summer camp in between for 3-7 year olds. Toddlers can attend between 3-5 days per week, from 8:30am-12:30pm, with extended care options from 8am-5:30pm. Primary students can attend 4 or 5 days per week, from 8:30am-2pm, with extended care options from 7:30am-5:30pm.
Admission:
Toddler students must be 2 by September 1st of the year they enroll, and Primary students must be 3. Our application is due on January 31. We offer tours throughout the fall, beginning in October and ending in January.
Class Size:
Marin Horizon averages between 280-300 students per year, between the Toddler through 8th grade programs. The toddler program maintains a 6:1 student teacher ratio, with a maximum of 18 students per classroom, and in the Primary programs it is 9:1 with a maximum of 27 students per classroom. In both cases there are 3 teachers in the classroom at all times.

Marin Montessori School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School. We admit children who are 18 months in September through 14 years old. Our tours begin in mid-October and run through late January. Marin Waldorf School is in session 8:00 am to 5:30 pm for 10 months of the year. Early childhood programs start at 8:15 and end at 1 pm. Preschool parents can choose between a 3-day (Monday - Wednesday) and a 5-day preschool program and extended care until either 3:00 or 5:20pm. Kindergarten is 5 days. We also offer a Parent Toddler class for parents and caregivers and their children age 18 months to 3 years old. These 8-week sessions meet once a week for two hours during the fall, winter and spring. These simple, sweet, and playful morning gatherings are held in our school's cozy parent-child classroom and beautiful outdoor spaces. For parents and caregivers, the classes are an opportunity to connect with other families, discuss parenting and Waldorf education, and learn more about their child by quietly observing them at play. Additionally, we offer a popular summer camp for 6 weeks during the summer.
Our Early Childhood program serves ages 2 years and 9 months through though age 5. We have four mixed age classrooms--two for Kindergarten and Pre-K ages and two for Preschool age. We also offer a parent child class designed for families with children who are 18 months to 3 years old. Admission for our Early Childhood program consists of a tour, application, and interview. Prospective families are invited to tour Curious Minds Learning Center at one of our two open house tours. Please RSVP on the tour dates page on our website. Saturday, December 14th, 2024, and January 11th, 2025, at 10 a.m. These occasions offer a great opportunity to meet our dedicated teachers, interact with current parents, and explore our school facilities. During the event, the administration will present a detailed program overview with engaging photos and videos. To secure your spot, please register below and specify your preferred date. Kindly note that these tours are for adults only. At this time, we are unable to accommodate individual in-person tours during regular school hours. Your understanding on this matter is greatly appreciated. We do NOT admit on a first come first serve basis. Rather, acceptances are determined by spots available as well as creating a gender and age balance in the classrooms. Siblings are always given first priority. There is a 10% discount on the lower tuition rate for siblings attending the school at the same time. 5% discount (per child) for parents that are educators. Age range is 2 as of September to 5 years.

The Discovery School operates from September through May. During these months the school is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 1pm and offers Extended Care Monday through Thursday from 1pm - 4pm. Limited Extended Care spots are available. We value time for pursuing interests, developing relationships, and engaging in imaginative play and exploration with open-ended materials. We regularly spend time having group meetings (circle time), exploring outside, sharing stories, singing songs, engaging in small group work, and eating a snack and lunch.  
Admission: 
We are licensed as a childcare center by the State of California and feature fully qualified teachers and a low staff-to-child ratio. We operate Mon-Thurs 8:30-3:30. Half Day program lets out at 12:15. Program options include 3 or 4 days per week (Mon-Weds, Tues-Thurs, or Mon-Thurs.) We are open September through mid-June and follow the Kentfield public school district break schedule. Additional summer programs offered in July/August.
Admission: 
Serves children 17-38 months old. New children tend to start between age 17-28 months. Applications are welcome year-round. Spots are filled on rolling basis and children may be able to start mid-year pending availability. Applicants may schedule a private tour when openings are anticipated.
Class Size: 
Miss Audrey works alongside one assistant each day, with an average of eight children per day.

Admission: 
In general, we accept children between 2.5 and 6 years old and we have a toddler program at Harmony Montessori which may accept children from age two, based on school readiness. We begin tours in the late fall - our website is the best place to find answers to your questions.

We are licensed for 60 children across the two programs. We generally maintain a 1:6 ratio.
