Marin Horizon follows an academic year calendar, from late August to early June with a Summer Camp in between for 3-7 year olds. Toddlers can attend between 3-5 days per week, from 8:30am-12:30pm, with extended care options from 8am-5:30pm. Primary students can attend 4 or 5 days per week, from 8:30am-2pm, with extended care options from 7:30am-5:30pm.

Admission:
 Toddler students must be 2 by September 1st of the year they enroll and Primary students must be 3. Our application is due on January 30th. We offer tours throughout the Fall, beginning in October and ending in January.

Class Size:
Marin Horizon averages between 280-300 students per year, between our Toddler through Middle School Programs. The Toddler Program maintains a 6:1 student teacher ratio, with a maximum of 18 students per classroom. Our Primary has a 9:1 with a maximum of 27 students per classroom.

There are two short breaks during the school year, 2 weeks for the winter holidays and 1 week for 4th of July, and MSCM does observe all federal holidays.

Admission:
MSCM is licensed for ages 24 months - 6 years old. Tours are first offered virtually via Zoom; in-person tours can be scheduled by request after a virtual tour has concluded. Open enrollment for new families starts Feb 1st, deadline Feb 28th (though applications can be submitted year round on a case-by-case basis). Admission for new families is on a first-come-first-served basis; current families are given priority enrollment/re-enrollment in January. MSCM requires a $100 non-refundable application fee and $500 refundable tuition deposit in order to apply.

Our main admissions process is earlier than many Bay Area Schools because our start date is in July (not September). However, some families may not be able to start until September since we allow graduating preschoolers to attend the summer before they leave for Kindergarten.We do not have a set date for sending out admission decisions as we process enrollments on a rolling basis. In January, the priority enrollment period for currently enrolled students, siblings and transfer students closes.  Curious Minds Learning Center offers both part-time and full-time preschool programs designed to meet the needs of families with children ages 2 to 5. The schedule supports a balance of structured learning and free exploration throughout the day. The standard daily schedule typically runs from 8:45am to 12:45pm (Willow 2-3yrs) 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Oak 3-5yrs). Curious Minds provides aftercare programs for families needing extended care beyond standard school hours. These programs focus on quiet activities, rest, and additional playtime. Enrichment classes offered with extra fee. The time extends to 4:45pm for all students. Before care if available starting at 8 am. There is no before/after care on Friday due to Natural Classroom and Teacher planning. Curious Minds Learning Center operates on a 9-month academic calendar, running from early September through early June. There are scheduled breaks throughout the year, including winter holiday breaks, spring break, and several other short holidays aligned with the academic calendar. To request an enrollment application and schedule a school tour, please call 415.461.5150. You can also download the application from the website. Children must be two years and six months by September 1st in the year of entry in order to start at Ross Valley Nursery School. Children are placed on the waiting list upon the school’s receipt of an enrollment application and payment of a $200 non-refundable deposit. All enrollment applications are filed in order of receipt, on a first-come basis, so it is best to apply early. Priority will be given to siblings of children who have attended or are currently attending for two consecutive years or have completed their preschool education at Ross Valley Nursery School.

5-day School week Schedules (2, 3, or 4 days/week are available upon request). Children must be fully potty-trained before starting preschool. Extended Care is offered for an additional fee of $12 per hour. Extended Morning care time 8:00 am- 8:30 am, Extended Afternoon care 1:00 pm- 5:30 pm. School is from Mid August - Mid July. There is a summer break between July - August. November Thanksgiving Break for one week Christmas Break for 2 weeks into January 1 week spring break in April.

Admission:
Accepts children as young as 2.9 years old. Children must be fully potty-trained to attend Tuition assistance programs accepted (MC3, 10,000 degrees etc) Tours are held in the mornings at 9:15 am daily; tour times can be flexible for family needs. Ross Academy Montessori School accepts children on or after their second birthday. Ages 2-5. We enroll year round. To enroll your child an Application for Enrollment must be submitted along with a non-refundable application fee. Upon receipt of the Application an interview will be scheduled with the child and the parents to gain additional information about your child and more detailed information about Ross Academy.
