What inspired you to start your business? 
I started as a student at with X˙CORE in 2018, to help with my chronic back pain. I felt almost instant relief in her back and I loved the practice so much that I wanted to share it with others. I trained as an instructor and began teaching at our East Bay locations (where I used to live). I moved to Marin during the pandemic and could not find a similar workout out here, so we decided to open the San Rafael location and we're so excited to bring X˙CORE to Marin!

What do you admire most about the business you've created? 
I love the community we've built. When our students enter our doors, it feels like they are coming to a familiar place for a gathering with their good friends. I love how our students support and encourage each other both in and outside of class. And I love seeing the progress in our students, what a gift to literally get to see people become stronger and healthier! 



What advice do you have for other mamas out there considering starting their own business? 
My advice is to find business partners or advisors who complement your skills and experience and who will be your guides throughout the experience. I am so grateful for my business partners, who have opened three locations in the East Bay and who have shepherded me through every step of the process to opening X˙CORE Marin. 

Starting a business is a lot of work, it takes a lot of sweat equity, and it can be quite daunting. It's critical to have a solid partner. Someone you trust. Someone who makes you laugh.
