We are delighted to introduce our new Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) landing page on the Southern Marin Mothers’ Club website. With this new page, we hope to highlight our organization’s commitment to inclusion while also making it even easier for families to connect with one another and build meaningful community.
The heart of SMMC is the friendships we build as we raise our children. This new page features our current Affinity Groups, complete with WhatsApp links, so members can easily join or explore the groups that reflect their family’s identities. The site also includes a calendar of events hosted by our Affinity Groups to make opportunities to connect more visible and accessible.
As part of our broader intention to weave DEI into the fabric of the organization, the page also includes our DEI mission statement and links to prior DEI Spotlight editions from the Crier. We invite you to take a moment and explore the page, find a group that resonates with you (or join one you’ve been curious about), and help us continue growing a community where every family feels welcomed, heard, and valued.
